Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency (CRESA) provides administrative assistance and regional coordination for several fire departments' CERT programs within Clark County. Five CERT jurisdictions within Clark County include Central (Brush Prairie/ Battle Ground area), East (Camas-Washougal area), North (Yacolt area), West (Salmon Creek, Hazel Dell, Felida, Ridgefield and La Center), and Vancouver. All districts use the same CERT uniform and offer full reciprocity for classes, make up sessions, and refresher training for CERTs with Clark County. The curriculum is based upon standard CERT material, and is taught by local subject matter experts. SDART (Seattle Disaster Aid & Response Teams) prepares neighborhoods (25-50 homes) to be self-sufficient for the three days that 9-1-1 emergency responders are historically overwhelmed by the demands of disaster.In addition, a 4-hour CERT overview cours has been developed for delivery to local school district personnel for use as in-service staff training or as a CERT refresher course. Skagit CERT publishes a quarterly newsletter that is distributed to all Skagit CERT volunteers.
