World Courier Ground plans to expend its operations by opening a branch office in Seattle. Large local employers include Boeing with 64,361 employees and Microsoft with 24,903. “The Seattle office will expand our West Coast presence and offer existing clients in both San Francisco and Portland new options within this major market. The Portland staff is especially excited about the opportunities that will arise with World Courier Ground penetrating this new market and establishing itself as the premier on-demand delivery service in the Northwest,” said Terry Hastings, Portland World Courier Ground general manager.

World Courier Ground enhanced WorldTrak™ Online Tools by unveiling the new Inventory and Logistics Module. This facility allows our customers to track and maintain their inventory as it resides in our numerous warehouse locations. One of our customers manages inventory in over 48 of our warehouses across the US. “Our new Inventory and Logistics Module provides our customers with the tools needed to meet ever-changing supply chain management challenges,” says Justin Weathers, manager of information systems. “Now our customers can access their inventory online at their convenience. You can find one serial numbered part wherever it is with detailed lot/bin location information, or find the warehouse with a particular part nearest to the delivery destination.” Previously implemented WorldTrak Online Tools enable customers to receive quotes, place orders, track packages, and generate reports.

World Courier Ground National Logistics Group and Hewlett Packard signed a nationwide contract providing on call service throughout the US for the Hewlett Packard Real Estate Division, starting December 1, 2003. Shipments range from documents to computer servers and mail runs in various locations. “HP enjoys one point of contact as well as the capability of their managers generating online reports,” said Robyn Adams, Vice President of the National Logistics Group. “Now that we have a corporate contract with HP, we are working hard on developing service to all HP locations. Currently we provide service in MA, WA, GA, NC, FL, NJ, and NY.” We look forward to expanding this into all HP divisions and locations.

Joel Kuperman joined our Chicago land location as Regional Director of Business Development. Joel brings over 20 years of experience in the Chicago land courier industry. Joel knows the industry inside out as he has served in operations, management, and sales. “I hit the ground running by implementing a new premium service called NonStop,” said Joel. “When you phone with an order, the dispatcher finds the closest available driver and gives you an estimated time of arrival at the delivery point. The driver proceeds directly to pick up your package and delivers it nonstop. You get a phone call halfway to advise you of the driver’s location, and a second when the package is delivered to tell you who signed for the delivery, delivery time, and where the person was physically located.”

I just wanted to tell you how happy we are with World Courier. Since we started using your courier service we have had no complaints at all. The ability to schedule couriers on line and being able to track them as they progress has been wonderful and convenient. The pricing is very reasonable also. We like the fact that if we do have any concerns, all I have to do is drop you an e-mail and it's always taken care of ASAP! We have never gotten that service from any other courier service that I have dealt with. I would recommend your company to anybody that is looking for a new courier service in a minute!
